Lula-isms

Recently, lula called us idiots. We tried my to laugh. Yesterday, she got angry with us and called us "crickets" more than once. I am convinced that she meant idiots. 

Also yesterday she wanted pat to stop making some noise - she told him it was "a-noise-ing". I think she meant annoying. 

Arthur now says "go go go" all day long. He is a busy boy. 

Zoo lights

We went to zoo lights last night and although it was packed and freezing and kind of a zoo (pun intended) I'm glad we went. Lula had a great time and Arthur didn't have a terrible time. 

Lula even did the big huge tube slide thing all by herself.

Santa

We took both kids (in matching outfits, natch) to see Santa yesterday. They both behaved like little angels. 

Unfortunately lula now believes that Santa is bringing her a pink baby grand piano. This is troubling to me for a number of reasons. I have listed the top 5  reasons below:

1. Where on earth will we store a pink baby grand piano in our teeny tiny house.

2. I did not hope to spend this kind of money on Lulas Christmas present.  

3. The top opens up so I'm sure Arthur will smash all 10 of his fingers in it before noon on Christmas 

4. Will we have to assemble it? Ugh. 

5. What if the cc Neiman Marcus doesn't have it in stock? What kind of trouble will we be in then? 

Boots

Lulas new cowboy boots are really versatile. She calls them "kitty soft paws" boots. Either way they are so adorable. 

Christmas dinner

IWe went to the Christins for Christmas dinner and it was so much fun. We got to see baby Brock, play with all the cousins, and then play some more and watch some movies! 

Christmas morning

Christmas morning was the most fun this year! Lula was de-lighted with her pink piano (and all the other gifts) and Arthur seemed happy with his truck. 

This is such a fun age. We had a delicious breakfast with the grandparents and both of my kids got spoiled rotten! They are so lucky. 

Batman

On Saturday lula was asking about her cousin Noah. She wanted to know who his parents were and then asked about his grandparents. I told her that nonni was his Grammy and that his poppop was in heaven. She paused before asking "with your mom?" Yes, I told her, with my mom. She paused a little longer and then asked "and batman?" 

Jelly donut

On Sunday morning we gave Arthur a jelly donut. He loved it. Specifically he loved the jelly part of the donut. 

Bath time

Arthur loves loves loves the bath lately. 

I promised myself I would save this hat for Christmas but it was cold out yesterday and he looks so cute in it that I couldn't wait another minute. 

Locked & loaded

Tonight this guy learned to use blueberries like projectiles as he loaded them in his sweet little mouth and then blew them out one at a time like a machine gun. 

I'm not sure who was more delighted - he or his sister. It was pretty funny for a minute. 

Firemen

On our way to the ice rink we walked by a fire truck filled with nice firemen. Lula was waving and the passenger seat guy jumped down and let her sit in his seat. She was really enthused for a few minutes. 

Saturday fun

We had a fun & busy weekend. Gymnastics and gingerbread party on Saturday am. After naps we took lula up to try ice skating. I remember pat saying he was excited to teach her to ice skate on the day she was born - so this has been a long time coming. 

The first few laps around I was sure we had made a mistake but she got better as she did it more. Unfortunately, she ended her maiden voyage into the ice skating world when she fell and smacked her cheek on the ice. 

Santa

Lula has such a fun visit to Santa today! She told him her name, said she wants koalas, mice, boots and make up. She was really a total doll and so excited for hours afterwards! 

Cold weather doesn't necessarily scream "Popsicles" to me but these guys still love them. 

My Christmas is made!

When I came home tonight Lula gave me a bag with a Christmas gift in it - this amazing ornament! I couldn't love it more. 

I put ornaments on the tree this year that I made in pre school and kindergarten so I hope lu will keep this forever. 

Yesterday we decorated the house for christmas. I try to be relaxed about it because really the whole season is most fun for Lula so why shouldn't she get to help decide how we decorate. I do, however, object to the unicorns and dinosaurs in the nativity scene. I removed them after I took this photo. 

Then, when she came down this morning she walked right up to the other nativity scene an squeeled " oh Jesus - that baby is so cute." Im having a good time trying to get her to say "frankincense." 

Arthur can now go up and DOWN the stairs. Hooray for him. 

Lula got a haircut and it is so darling!! 

We have so much to be thankful for! 

Arthur is likely most greatful to be done with feather headbands....until next year! 

Pat took all 3 of the girls to the movies on Saturday. Can you see the joy in his eyes? 

We put naughty babies on top of the refrigerator. Not sure if he realizes it's punishment or not 

Nonni bought Lula a beautiful hat and scarf set. It has diamonds which Lula insists on calling "Dianes"

Pat and I are laughing so hard I'm surprised the photo isn't blurry 

Lula has her first lunch date today and boy is she excited!

Since it is masons birthday Lula was invited to join him at chick-fil-a for lunch. She was soooo excited this morning that she kept talking about how this is just like coronation day (frozen reference). She even wore a dress! 

I hope she has so much fun. 

Look who got Into the Ursula lipstick. 

We've all got a cold but poor Arthur had it the worst. His nose is runny, he is sneezing up a storm (which delights him to no end), and generally seems to not feel great. 

He is still in pretty good spirits but I hope we can get over this quickly.

I can't believe that Arthur is already 1. He is the sweetest, funniest, hungriest baby I know.
