Having already pooped through two outfits today, Arthur is probably not getting a third.

Should I start a series entitled "filthy restrooms I have visited"?? If today's little episode at Costco is any indication, I should.
First of all, who waits until they are at a Costco to take a dump? Really? Even if I had to go, I would think twice if my mother and brother were in the handicapped bathroom stall with me. Lula didn't mind at all. She was in no rush at all as she asked me to remove her shoes and pants so she could be a little more comfortable.
Second of all, it was so filthy. They sell bleach by the gallon. Is there some prohibition against using some in their own toilets? To be fair the toilets were no grosser than the floor, sink, or walls. Yes, she touched them all.
I bet there are not many places with dirtier bathrooms. A greyhound station and the homeless shelter behind my office come to mind.
But yay for an accident free trip to Costco.

Time out

Pat put lula in time out this morning for kicking him in the face. He deposited her in her room and came back to our room to wait it out. While he was waiting we could hear her angrily talking to herself. It was pretty funny.

It's only been a few days but I think lula has the hang of using the potty. I am so proud of her.
Yesterday, during her inaugural visit to the dentist, she stayed dry the whole time and used a public restroom. Yay Lu!! She touched every gross surface in that restroom but she also peed in the potty.

During the dental visit she sat on my lap while I got my teeth cleaned. I looked up at one point and she had the filter from the spitter thing in her mouth. BARF!!! Other than that and a small freak out when they x rayed my mouth she did great. What a big girl.

In sharp contrast with his naughty sister this guy has consistently been sleeping from 10 pm until 7 or 7:30 lately. He is SUCH a delightful baby.

Why has lula been waking at 1am and staying awake /screaming/ demanding to watch a movie until 3 am lately?? Beats me but I'm already over it.

Teaching lula about selfies has been fun.

These photos were taken only minutes before lula had an epic meltdown that resulted in our leaving gymnastics early. She screamed, refused to participate, moaned and groaned for Bridget and was generally miserable. So we left and I endured her tantrum all the way home. Once home, I calmed her down a little and put her in her crib for a nap. She then freaked out again and threw herself out of the crib mid tantrum. So.....no more crib for lula.

We went to the museum of health & medicine today and it was as weird as pat thought it would be. Lula was fascinated with these conjoined twins - creeeepy!

Potty training is an easy way to create even more laundry at my house.

Looks like this handsome devil is excited to spend another day stuck inside with us. Good thing we went to the zoo yesterday.

Zoo

Our trip to the zoo today was a big success. And a huge workout for me! We saw elephants, gorillas, pandas, tigers and a lion. Lu also had a ride on the carousel. She loved it all.

Lula enjoyed this box of nerds at 6:30 tonight. No real surprise that she had an epic meltdown less than one hour later.
