Trucks, trains & cars

Arthur could entertain himself with trucks, trains and cars for hours....

I hope we can come up with a train table to really blow his mind for his birthday! 

Cake pop

It must have been an aggressive cake pop sesh when sprinkles end up on your ear and up your nose. 

Pink tights

Lula has been really into a par of pink tights over the last few days. Only problem is she wants to wear them without a skirt or dress as if they were pants. We have discussed but I feel like she isn't hearing me. So this is what we've seen a lot of lately...

Arthur doesn'took even a little bit like me, but he sure inherited my love for costumes. He wore this little get up all day yesterday even though it was 80 degrees outside. 

Tractor sweater

Shortly after arthur was born we got a lovely baby sweater in the mail from pats grandmother, kitty. It has tractor buttons! How could she have known how much he would love trucks and tractors? 

I'm afraid he will pull off the buttons before he wears it too much but I'm delighted that he loves it as much as I do. 

Cooperative play

The kids played nicely like this for approximately 60 seconds before lula started shouting at arthur to get out of her way and leave her alone. She then started grabbing from him and not so gently pushing him out of he way. 

I wish she would be nicer to him. All he wants to do is play with her. 

And, one day, he will probably be much much bigger than she is so she should consider that too. 

Maga-ZINE

On Sunday I took lula w me to get my toes painted and have my hair blown out. She was pretty psyched about the pedicure, even bringing with us a maga-ZINE to flip through as her toes were painted. 

Nut

This girl is a nut. But these photos are awfully reminiscent of a series of photos where I am dressed up like a moron at the tri delta house in college park. Minus the goggles of course, I wasn't wearing goggles. Wonder where she gets it? 

New Jammie's

Look who got new Jammies & new sneakers!! 

1st day of school

Lula was beyong excited for her first day of school. Arthur shared her enthusiasm run til he realized he wasn't going anywhere. 

Thank goodness grandpop was here to divert his attention. Apparently he didn't even notice when we left. Then he got a haircut & a cake pop, so really he came out on top. 

So long summer 2015

I love how the universe always gives us the most beautiful day, weather wise, and the absolute worst traffic of the season for Labor Day. It's a cosmic reminder that it won't be so bad to stay home for a few weekends. 

Cousins

Can you imagine when this crew descends on Dewey in 15 years?? 

Overalls

I ordered arthur a pair of overalls which came in the mail yesterday. He loves them! Had to wrestle them off of him for bedtime. I bet they'll look even better with a shirt on underneath. 

Back to school

Last night we went to back to school night with lula. We got to meet her new teachers and some new classmates, see her new classroom and hug last years teachers! 

Arthur tried to escape a few times but I caught him each time! Rascal.
