We had a very funny morning.

Taking the metro with lula has been a real mixed bag lately. Some days she is happy to look out the window at passing trains and yell "look" every 45 seconds. Those are the good days.
Other days she is not happy to just look about the window. On those days she would rather begin our trip by demanding gummies and then whining loudly when I tell her I don't have any. A few stops later she begins emptying her backpack for fun. If I'm not paying attention she will actually throw her belongings from the bag as a way to regain my attention. She begins furtively pawing around in the bag and the - wham - she throws her plastic egg full of tattoos down the aisle if the metro leaving me two bad options: leave her detritus to roll down the aisle and pretend like it didn't happen or leave her alone to go retrieve. This decision can only be made in the moment and only after you consider how packed the train is.
Last week we made it almost all the way home before she said the word "poop" really loudly 4 times in a row. Initially I asked if she had to go to the bathroom but then I realized she was freaking out the people around us so then I pretended not to understand her. It is lost on her that it is not good metro etiquette to talk loudly about poop when on a rush hour train.
As much as I enjoy our extra time together on the train I think I will be happy when her daycare is in the neighborhood.

Sometimes we have peanut butter & popcorn for dinner. It's not the healthiest meal but I do not get any push back on th menu.

Arthur is rolling over!! Back to front and not real smoothly but I'm impressed.
He seems mostly startled when he realized he has flipped himself around.

Lula decided that the paint on the walls in the dining room needs a little sprucing up - and she thought a red crayon was just the thing to make a dramatic difference!

Tutu dress
Lula got a new tutu dress this weekend and hasn't taken it off since the dressing room.
That's right...she refused to even take it off so I could purchase it. The cashier had to scan the tag in her armpit in order to ring us up.
I think it's cute but I am concerned about how I will launder this little number given the tulle

Lula has been super interested in holding and playing w Arthur lately. It's cute but sometimes her enthusiasm scares him!

Well, after lulas complete meltdown it would only be reasonable for Arthur to wake at 12:30, 1:30 and then at 5 for the day. On the bright side I was on time for work today.
I am tired today. Really really tired.
Also, everybody at my house is sick. Gross cough, stuffy noses, head cold sick. Fun, fun, fun.

Bedtime here has been disastrous lately! It's 5 minutes to 9 and we just finished an epic scream fest that really makes everyone sad.
Ugh, lula, you're killing me. Just go the eff to sleep already.
As I type this Arthur is happily dozing in my arms. He has not contributed one minute of strife to bedtime here. He prefers to scream & make us sad at 4 am.
Boy am I tired!
Update: pat just described lulas bedtime disaster as "shitting kittens". Couldn't have described it better if I tried.
