I really love that part of the day after lulas nap when we snuggle in my bed. She is in a good mood, both of them love to be hugged and kissed and we're close to pat arriving home from work.

3 nights in a row of 10 - 5 sleeping in the co sleeper. Hooray! He is too big for the swaddle blankets I cram him into but they'll do for a little longer.

Since it's (STILL) about 8 degrees outside I thought lula might like to wear a full fleece suit to run our errands. She did not seem to like it so much.

When lula wants a cracker she sweetly asks for a crack whore and then looks at us strangely as we die laughing.

Cupcakes

I told lula that after her nap we could decorate cupcakes. She just mixed up all the sprinkles and then started eating before we were done decorating.

She is still riding that sugar high.

Me: butt what?

Me: oh, you want to brush your teeth?
Lula: (obviously frustrated) no! Watch a movie.

Snow day

We had a really fun snow day yesterday. One ill advised walking trip to while foods, one three hour nap for the momma, and some sledding made up our fun day. Lula ate her weight in snow. Poor Arthur didn't get to play outside at all but he was cool about it.

2 months

2 months, 14 pounds and off the charts in height.

Cookies

Lula helped me make some cookies this morning. Things were all fun and games until she lost. her. shit. when I put them in the oven. It took me like 15 minutes to get her to stop wailing - but she finally chilled out. Probably won't do cookies again any time soon.

Another loooooong day in the basement for us. We did a lot of cleaning up so that we have a nice spot for the trampoline if it EVER.GETS.HERE. I spoke to amazon and they were helpful but I'm bummed that we have to wait 2 more days.

We also made some play dough things - my best were the penguin and the peas in a pod. When I thought about how proud I was of my play dough penguin I also thought it might be time for me to go back to work....

I really hope it's 60 degrees on Saturday as forecasted because we really need to get outside!

Goddamn it amazon

I ordered a 48 inch kiddie trampoline on Sunday bc I wanted it on Monday but I was, reluctantly, willing to wait until Tuesday. This morning I got your email apologizing for the delay in shipping me my stupidly expensive trampoline. What the hell? When Lula falls off this inflatable mattress and breaks her collarbone or knocks out her teeth I will blame you Amazon. You and nobody but you.

Ps: here's hoping this calamity doesn't happen today bc pat has the crv and I would have no way to transport my 2 amigos to the er.

Bao bao

At 7 weeks Arthur is nearly as large as the 5 month old giant panda cub, bao bao. He also has almost as many fans.

Yesterday while lula & Maggie ran around like maniacs at open gym Arthur took some snoozes. He's smart and so handsome!

Today was a great day. We went to the building museum & out to lunch. The building museum was crawling with kids and had lots of fun things for lula to do. It was perfect!
