Farm fun

We had so much fun at the "animal farm" yesterday. Lula didn't like the slide as much as I hoped she would....but she loved the animals and the pony rides and the moon bounce. If our yard was even a little bit bigger I would buy a moonbounce because lula loves it so so much.
We were petting the goats & sheep and a dirty looking goat stuck his head through the little fence and without missing a best lula bent her little red head down and kissed him right on the mouth. I almost died because he looked so dirty but she was very pleased with herself.

Polish

I told lula she looked homeless and she said to me "I am not Polish"

And the out takes....
Such a dangerous scenario.

Teeth !!!

It is so hard to get a photo of Arthur's teeth. So I'm delighted that I got this:

Last night after dinner we went on a little walk. Lula insisted wearing a sweater I had worn to work yesterday while Arthur wore his cute dinosaur hat. Unfortunately he only left it on his head for 5 seconds after this photograph was taken.

Arthur is such an enthusiastic eater....he remained pretty clean through the lentil course but then the gloves really came off during the raspberry course.

This morning as we were laying in bed I told lula that she gets to have a sleep over at Deirdre's house tonight. She said, so earnestly and a little surprised - oh, thank you mommy. She is such a sweet little thing.

Arthur is so hungry that he ate some dishwasher detergent this morning. My mom used to call Michael the trash demon - this seems similarly situated to result in a life long nickname that he may or may not be fond of when he grows up.

We're enjoying the last few warm nights with Popsicles on the front steps...

Headband, pearls, tiny diamond ring......I think there is definitely room for one more accessory.

1 year later I finally got lula to put on her dinosaur costume. She was particularly amused that it has a tail feature on the jacket.

I hope Arthur is into dinosaurs.

I love getting new boots and coats in the fall so I was delighted that lula was totally in love with her new boots when they came the other day.

Actually, when they dropped me off this morning lula was wearing her queen Elsa dress and these uggs.

Ha ha.

Earlier today lula asked pat to hand her the big Barbie from the windowsill. And by big Barbie she meant the BVM.

Lulas first day at st luke was a success!! She seemed a little reluctant at first but then happily ran into the room, played for the whole 45 minutes, and was delighted to see me at the end of the day.
As we walked back to the car she asked me if she can go back again so I think that's a good sign.

Lula takes her sun protection very seriously. Base later of SPF 60 lotion - check. Rash guard shirt - check. Baseball hat - check. Decorative zinc on face - check.

Labor Day weekend was a success. We had great weather, good company & lots of opportunities to swim in the ocean.
