It is really hard to decide which time of day is my favorite with arthur. On the one hand, the mornings with him are so sweet. He lays next to me in bed drinking his bottle, happily playing and cuddling with me. He is (usually) well rested and in such a happy mood. He laughs hardest in the morning when I tickle him. On the other hand, in the evening before bed he sits like a heavy lump in my lap. His sweet smelling head laid against my chest feels so heavy with fatigue. He spikes his empty bottle on the ground, nestles further in to my lap and coos like a baby animal. 

Pink pea-ano

Lula is still digging her pink pea-ano. 

Snow day!

The snow day means there is no rush to get lula to school - so she and arthur sat and read books to each other (sorta) as I got dressed. 

This past saturday on our way into Starbucks we walked past a man with an eye patch. Lula said,uncharacteristically loudly and clearly, "look a pirate"

I was mortified but luckily we were almost past him so I didn't have to stare at him for too long. 

Oh, me? I'm just hanging around the abandoned plastic house ony side yard waiting for mojo to come over. 

And the next photo is one where mojo has made an appearance. 

Arthur

This morning as I was attempting to get lula dressed in my room I was missing a few key wardrobe pieces. Arthur was staggering around between the rooms and I asked him to bring me Lulas snoopy t shirt from their room. Low and behold, a few seconds later he came staggering Into my room with the snoopy shirt! We cheered and clapped and made our delight really obvious. 

Next, I asked Arthur to go get the pink sweatshirt from their room. That little animal went right into their room and got the pink sweatshirt!!! What a champ. I'm so delighted to have a new little helper. 

Long weekend

Notable things this weekend: 

1 Arthur got a cute pair of colored denim skinny jeans

2 lula got a fart gun (against my better judgment) 

3 lula continued to work at being a ninja

Let it go!

Despite my most aggressive attempts to get lula to really love this princess Anna dress (not shown here is the pink velvet cape complete with little ball tassels) she doesn't love it. Won't wear It for more than 3 minutes at a time. 

We're going to let it go, right on over to the bermans, where I hope her twin princess enthusiasts appreciate how adorable it is. 

Naturally, Arthur celebrated michaels birthday with a donut. 

I wonder who will be the usual winner in these matches.

When Arthur isn't trying to terrorize an entire bowling alley he is happy to climb in and out of a full laundry basket 10 dozen times or try and break his nose by going down a slide head first.

Duckpin bowling

Duckpin bowling with a 3 year old was interesting. And very vey slow. I did laugh out loud when lula ran 2 lanes over, stood at the stop line, put her hands on her hips and started shaking her a$$. The 75 year old guy who had been bowling on that lane also laughed a little....lucky for us. 

Arthur was generally pissed that he couldn't participate. 

Nye

Lula rag in the new year with some of her best friends! Boy was she u happy to wake up in her own bed without mason after falling asleep in his bed. 

I canny get enough of this tank!
