People

I'm not sure exactly when this clicked for Lula but all of a sudden she can draw people! Their proportions are a little more Picasso than I would have expected but I love them.
Wait until I show Chris & Cake the rendering of their family. Even Fritzy got some ill proportioned love.

That's a person. Not sure who.

Long weekend

We had a fun long weekend but with the bad weather we spent all weekend inside. By yesterday evening we actually let them arm themselves and fight.

Kazoos!

Mrs yep and Mrs mccaskill asked for Valentine's that aren't candy which I feel is a little bit lame. In (not so) silent protest I ordered lip shaped kazoos and hot glue gunned them to the Valentine's cards we got for Lula. That way everybody still gets a treat.

If twenty 4 yr olds w kazoos doesn't make them rethink their opposition to candy on Valentine's Day I don't know what will!

I didn't notice this until I went to grab this roll of toilet paper to use but it was completely soaked with water at some point today and then put back in its place.

When I asked Lula about it she quickly apologized for knocking it in the toilet.

Barf!!

Pj day

Today was pj day at school. Lula was psyched to wear her Jammies to school. Arthur was excited too.

Weekend of costume parties

We had a full weekend of costume parties.

Yesterday afternoon we were at a birthday party at the neighbors house. The kids were all downstairs playing. I was loosely supervising about 5 kids when I look up and see Arthur sauntering down the hall away from the playroom dragging a green colored pencil down the white wall.
To make matters worse, the birthday girls dad was standing right at the end of the hall watching Arthur disrespect his formerly clean white walls.

I owe them a magic eraser.

Tub trouble

Last night as I was filling the tub Lula asked me to turn on music for a bath dance party. Naturally I agreed and left Lula sitting on the toilet reading good night steam train. Arthur was standing near the tub playing with some boats.
In the 50 seconds it took me to get downstairs and grab my phone Arthur fell in the tub. When I heard him crying I ran back up to see what was going on and the poor thing was standing in the tub soaking wet, trembling, and howling.

I scooped him up and asked/barked at Lula "what happened?" She replied, a little too cool for my taste, that she didn't know. Later we confirmed that she didn't see what happened because she was too busy reading. And she didn't try to help her brother because she was "stuck on the toilet."

She really lucked out when pat walked in the door because I was so mad I was prepared to forgo the bath all together and put her to bed for being a jerk. He talked me out of that and we all went downstairs after the bath to play. She made it about 15 minutes before she shoved Arthur for no reason and finally got the expedited bedtime I threatened earlier.

Here's hoping the take away from last nights debacle(s) was that you always look out for your brother. Even when you're sort of stuck on the toilet.

A second takeaway, more relevant to me than them, is they are still too little to leave near a full bathtub for even one minute.
