Mermaid gratitude

Last Saturday Deirdre and I walked by a store that had the most darling mermaid bathing suit in the window. We quickly decided that Lula had. To. Have. It.

Naturally, the store didn't have her size and the manufacturer was sold out of the suit in her size too. All of this really strengthened my resolve that Lula would have this darling mermaid suit for memorial day weekend!

Long story short, I found the suit in her size in some shop in Missouri. They fed exed it to me (what's an additional $15 in shipping when you've already spent a small fortune on the suit itself). Yesterday I come home and find the bathing suit package at the door and excitedly hand it to Lula to open. I just knew she was going to love it.

This was her response.

She says its "scratchy". I say it was hard to find and cost a million dollars so she better be prepared to wear it happily all weekend. It also came with a green tutu ruffle skirt. Not sure how scratchy that is.

Last day at pre-k 3

It doesn't look like Lula is too torn up about the end of the school year. It does look like Arthur is dying to be in the school pictures next year.

He is SO excited for school. God bless Mrs. Wasp - she has no idea what she's in for.

My kids look like teenagers next to jack 😢

Best weekend!

Boy did we have an awesome weekend! Pat graduated (!!!!), we enjoyed the two hours of sunshine after the graduation outdoors, we went to a party and hung out with friends.

The children were as well behaved as I could have asked them to be at the graduation and we left after pat got his diploma. Really, it was out of consideration for the rest of the graduates.

Now, if only the temperature would climb and the sun would come out we would be in great shape.
