Last night I went to meet lulas new teachers. They were so lovely! Mrs Dailey and mrs marchionini are in for it! Lula loves to say marchionini already.
Lula will be in the same class as a kid whose parents went to high school with me and pat- what a small world!
They did say no fancy clothes and only closed toe shoes so I hope lulas Snow White dress & sandal phase passes before next week.

Vocabulary

Last week at the beach lulas cousins taught her a few new words:
1. Annoying. She correctly used the word in a sentence when she told me that I was being annoying by kissing her so much.
2. Disgusting. She incorrectly used the word in a sentence when she told me her usual pb &j was disgusting. (I have no idea what she actually thinks it means)
3. That's not fair. This is trickier because Bridget & Maggie use this phrase to note any objection they have to anything. Lula used it to correctly note that she was displeased with my decision to call bed time at 7:30 but the situation wasn't necessarily unfair.

I am sad to be returning to work this morning - one more week off would be delightful :)

On Arthur's 9 month birthday I walked in to get him in the morning and he was standing up in his crib! What a big boy :)

There isn't a single thing that we have fed Arthur that he hasn't liked yet. This weekend he had salmon for the first time and he gobbled it up. He has also enjoyed eggs, plain Greek yogurt, all sorts of fruits and vegetables, a tiny taste of cupcake at a party last week, and regular baby puffs & mum mums.

Arthur is a crawling machine and he loves to crawl through this tunnel. The only problem is that he doesn't realize that the tunnel isn't very sturdy and can easily roll right over with him. He bonked his head several times.

We are at aunt Josephine's pool today and lula is loving life. Every time she gets out of the pool she runs over to me and we remind her "no running." Once we say that she starts an exaggerated tip toeing move that is hysterical.

She just met two other little girls and told them hi my name is lula and my birthday is October 21. I guess all the birthday talk at the beach is fresh in her mind.

We had a fabulous time in Bethany with a whole bunch of baylys. Bridget, Maggie, Charlie, teddy, Scottie, Nell, Patrick, kevin, jb, Madelaine, brian, Barclay, Daniel, lula and Arthur had the best time. And I got to hang out with my own cousins! It was fun and very high energy :)

We have to regroup this week and then head back the following week for one more week at the beach before the end of the season.

Manicorns

There is a tree next door to us that drops big fat acorns in the street. Lately lula has been pretty obsessed with picking them up and dragging them with her all over the place. Yesterday she was at my office briefly in the evening and she was proudly showing my co-workers all her "manicorns".
I have no idea where it came from but I think it's so cute!
