Lulas last day at daycare

Today is lulas last day at daycare. I any believe I forgot to take a decent picture of her this morning!!

We got munchkins for her to bring for her friends and teachers and bit was she excited. It appeared that she was physically pained to have to sit near them on the metro without actually eating them. Once we inside the daycare building I let her carry the box and boy was she proud!

I'll try to remember to take a photos with ms gwyn this afternoon.

Arthur rides the metro in his Jammies

Lula got to ride the train to school today. Poor pat - I wished him good luck when I got off at my stop.

Another great beach weekend for us! We got to hang out with the Murphys (lula is totally obsessed with her Hampton cousins) and enjoy the beach a little.

And now, back to the work week grind....complete with work day uniform of Snow White dress. I broke down this morning and ordered a new princess dress. Hopefully adding another princess frock into the mix will give this one a little more life.

We should try to remember to bring lulas sunglasses to school every day b/c when we forget she takes mine.

I would 100% stop a stranger on the street to tell her her skirt was tucked into her underpants. No question.

Does it make me a bad person that I would allow my own daughter to march down the street with her skirt tucked into her underpants? (I fixed it for her after I took a million pictures. )

Even though it's my favorite thing to do in the morning I let lula feed Arthur yesterday am. She was delighted. I think Arthur prefers when I do it but either way he got fed.

This morning I dropped my phone and said "damn"
Lula immediately screamed "oh my damn" about 10 times in a row.
Damn.

Also, when we ask if she is ready to go to school she says she needs her pack pack (back pack) and once she gets it and is ready she announces "vamanos "

Two and a half is fun (sometimes).

Thor is on the move

Almost....
He is rocking back and forth and getting up in his knees. He can get from his butt to his knees but then flops onto his belly.

He will be on the move soon.

Fun land

Lula had a blast at funland on Friday! She had no fear at all - wanting to go on all the rides. I was pretty impressed at her fearlessness. And, I was happy to watch her on the rides with pat from afar.

We did have a little problem in the ball out when she peed. Not sure if she was having trouble getting out in time or just was having too much fun to stop playing.

Leaving funland is tricky - especially when you just peed on an attraction and are trying to make a speedy exit - so we promised ice cream to get her out of there.

It took a little coaxing but lula eventually agreed to share her ice cream with Arthur last night. Actually, it took a lot of coaxing but I'm happy to report that she did eventually share. And boy did Arthur like his tastes of ice cream.

Every day on the metro is an adventure. I wonder if I'll miss this time with her come august/September. For the most part it's stressful because we are rushing to get home and she is crabby after a long day at school. But I do get her mostly to myself for about an hour and that is a treat for me. I bet I'll miss it.

Last night on the way home lula did not fall asleep right away. Around 9 I took away the phone she was watching a movie on and told her to shut her eyes. She proceeded to ask us, about 1000 times each, to tickle her arm.

Daddy, daddy, daddy, tickle my arm, tickle my arm.
In her smallest and sleepiest voice. Eventually she fell asleep....like 9 miles from home :)

We had such a fun 4th of July. The weather was spectacular Friday afternoon and all weekend. We played on the beach, took lots of naps, watched a movie on the beach, saw some fireworks, ate too much junk and just generally had a really great time. We left much later than normal and are still on our way home....but totally worth it.
I don't have a picture but we even let lula wear a regular bathing suit while it was still raining and cloudy Friday am. Since hurricane Arthur provided ample sun protection we went crazy and said ok to a bathing suit without long sleeves.

Morning meltdowns

This mornings meltdown happened because I told lula she could not have chips or gummies for breakfast . She cried and carried on and only came around and agreed to a picture right as I was leaving for work.

Lula had a fun weekend with her friends. We saw peter & grace on Saturday and mason, chase, Juliette & wade on Sunday. We also went swimming on saturday at aunt Jo's pool. Although initially reluctant to get in the big pool, once we got Lula in the pool she loved it!

Tonight as we sat at the dinner table I was telling pat about what I read in lulas daily sheet. I told him that lunch was beef & turkey tacos but lula didn't eat any of it. In an attempt to get her to try more things at school lunch I said, " I looove tacos." She looked up at me, considered my statement for a minute and then replied " I loooove puppies."

Not too long after dinner we were all playing in the living room and she picks up Arthur's toy saw, looks directly at pat and says "I'm going to cut you." It was funny and a little creepy.
