Tonight as we drove by the Mormon temple Lula exclaimed " the pemple tower!" 

Blizzard Jonas

Jonas was a good & thorough blizzard.  So thorough, in fact, that my kids couldn't really even play in the snow until yesterday.

Brrrrrrrr.....

It was so cold yesterday that we went to the nat geo exhibit for some inside fun. Arthur was delighted to see all the other animals on display. 

So many 4 year olds...

We had a fun filled four year old weekend. Maggie, Scottie & Nellie came over for a sleepover on Saturday and both Lula and Arthur were in heaven!!!!!

Tubing

We went tubing on Friday and it was a huge hit! We originally thought we could take both kids to tune in the kiddie hill all day but it quickly became evident that it wouldn't be fun enough so we went for the big hill. Arthur is a real beast since the rules don't allow anyone under 5 on the big hill but he managed it. 

I forgot the dry clothes for the way home so Lula had to wear a pair of my ski socks as pants. Ha!!

I was talking to myself!

This morning Lula asked for and I made scrambled eggs w borsoin. For whatever reason she refused to eat them so she had no breakfast. I told her that refusing to eat those eggs, which she specifically asked for and I made specially for her, would mean she could have nothing to eat until lunch. She was unhappy, as I expected. 

We were getting ready to walk out the door and I heard her muttering about how she wanted a cookie and how sad she was that she couldn't have one. I told her that I was unhappy too but that she should have eaten her breakfast. She looked at me and grumbled, "I was talking to myself! You don't have to answer" I laughed pretty hard at that. 

Of course it didn't help that Arthur was parading around enjoying a cookie without any regard for he tantrum Lula was throwing. 

This is a pretty standard weekend set up for us. Both of our kids crawling all over Paul while he tries to drink his beer without Arthur spilling it everywhere. 

Luchadores

We're thinking of starting a toddler luchador league. I expect there will be a lot of interest. Gatito garra blanda and Cerdito Cinco will be two huge stars.  

Pacis

I know we should just give up the pacifiers.....but I don't want the fight.

I put a pack of pacifiers in the grocery cart yesterday because they were on sale. I bent over to get something from a low shelf and when I stood back up this little trash panda had opened the package (without a pocket knife) and jammed both pacis in his mouth. It's like he knew I was sorta on the fence about buying them.....

New Year's Day

We were pretty lame on New Year's Eve, so we were superstars on New Year's Day! We went mattress shopping, had a rock creek "hike" and then met friends for some bowling fun.

The mattress store is a perfect place to burn some energy in the cold weather. Sadly Lula fell in love with a super expensive memory foam adjustable bed. Well just pretend the twin bunk bed mattress is made of the same stuff...
